Currently, we have two active sleep studies focused on identifying relationships between NF1 and sleep. Each study is independent of the other, so participating in one does not exclude you from the other!
The NF1 Sleep Study is a two week research study designed to help researchers learn more about sleep, circadian rhythm, quality of life, genetics, and other functions in patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Many patients with NF1 report sleeping problems and with the results from this study, we hope to advance our understanding of how patients with NF1 may experience sleep disturbances differently. We hope that our findings will inform clinical care for patients in the future.
The NF1 Sleep Health Survey is designed to understand the relationship between NF1 and quality of life/outcomes related to sleep. This study involves completing a series of surveys that allow us to evaluate a range of sleep-related situations, and the time commitment is only 15 to 20 minutes.
